Healing

You’ve got the ink, now let’s make it last. Fine line tattoos require a gentle touch during the healing process to keep those crisp details looking perfect. Here is how to baby your new art.

The First 24–48 Hours

PLASMA AND BLOOD MAY BUILD UP BETWEEN THE FILM CAUSING A “INK SACK” OR A FUZZY LOOK. THIS IS NORMAL AND TO BE EXPECTED

The Bandage: Leave your second-skin bandage on 2 to 3 days.

The First Wash: Pull the second skin film against your body under warm water. DO NOT RIP IT OFF LIKE A BAND AID! THIS MAY CAUSE THE SCAB TO COME OFF WHICH CAN SCAR THE AREA. Use a fragrance-free, antibacterial soap rubbing with fingertips only—no washcloths or loofahs!

Pat Dry: Always pat the area dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.

Apply a thin layer of the aftercare product 2-3 times a day and whenever the tattoo if feeling dry or itchy.

The Settling Period: Fine lines will "settle" and soften slightly as they heal. This is a natural part of the process.

Touch-Up : I offer one free touch-up within the first 3 months to ensure your fine lines stay perfect. A $25 booking and needle fee is due when you schedule. Just fill out the request form and we will get you scheduled.

  • No Picking or Scratching: It might get itchy as it flakes—that's normal! Resist the urge to peel it, or you might pull the ink out.

  • No Sun: Keep your new tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least 2–3 weeks. Once healed, use SPF religiously to prevent fading.

  • No Soaking: This means no baths, hot tubs, saunas, or swimming (pools, lakes, or oceans) for at least 2 weeks. Showers are fine!

  • No Tight Clothes: Avoid abrasive fabrics over the tattoo while it's peeling.

For 2 WEEKS

A little redness and swelling is normal for the first few days. However, if you experience extreme pain, spreading redness, or a fever, please contact a healthcare professional and let me know.
